(via A gorgeous retelling of Little Red Riding Hood, using silhouettes and plenty of horror)
I always loved gritty retellings of Little Red Riding Hood, although some are overdone and have perhaps become a cliche, I don’t think I’ll get tired of them any time soon. It’s something about fairy tales that are traditionally read to kids in their youth as sweet little stories, when actually they’re horrific experiences, and then finally learning the truth about them as an adult, or at least coming to see them in a different light. I’m prone to enjoy morbid things, though, and this is certainly morbid and lovely, and I love it.
